How to Point Your Domain to Our IP

To point your domain name to our IP Address (52.0.232.150), first you need to create an  "A" record  or Address Record.  "A" record points a domain or sub-domain to an IP address. For example, you can point www.yourdomain.com to 52.0.232.150. "A" record provides information about your host/domain name IP address. Please follow the below mentioned steps to crate an "A" record.

  • Sign into your account (i.e. GoDaddy, bluehost etc.)
  • Go to your domain
  • Click on the Advanced DNS/Manage DNS
  • You will find the host records section in the DNS
  • Click on the add/edit record button
  • Select "A" record for type and you must enter the host that is pointing to our IP address
  • Create "A" as below
  • In the "Host" filed type "@" (See Below Screenshot)
  • In the "Points To" filed type our IP (52.0.232.150)
  • In the "CNAME" filed type "WWW"
  • Click on "Save"

Below screenshot shows how to point your domain in GoDaddy. The user interface may differ for different hosting providers.

Note:

  • WWW is not required if you are pointing to a sub-domain ( i.e. abc.yourdomain.com)
  • The steps mentioned above to create "A" record  is common for most of the web hosting service provider (For example, GoDaddy, bluehost)

  • Click on “Preview Website” in your CMS to see if your domain name has changed successfully (See Below Screenshot).
