How Users Can Customize an Item

 

Introduction

With our Product Personalization feature you can allow your users to personalize the product before placing their order. Users can add custom text and image to the product of their choice which may include apparels, Mugs, Photo Frames etc. After doing all the customization they can place the order. At your end, you will make the changes to the product as per the user’s requirement and then ship the product to their address.

 

Activating Product Personalization

First, you need to activate the Product Personalization feature from Muvi Market Place.

  • Go to “Marketplace -->Manage Apps” in your CMS
  • Under “Product Personalization” click on “Activate
  • When asked for confirmation, click on “Yes

 

 

Enabling Personalization for Product

After activating Product Personalization, you can enable it for any product at the time of adding or editing a product on Muvi Kart. You can enable it for new and existing items as well.

Enabling Personalization For New Item

  • Go to “Manage Content-->Content Library” in your CMS
  • Click on “Add Content
  • In the “Content Forms” field, select “Muvi Kart Form
  • Fill the form to add an item (Click Here to know how to add an item)
  • Scroll down to “Personalization” and select “Enable
  • Click on “Save

Note: To disable Personalization for the item, select “Disable” and click on “Update

 

Enabling Personalization For Existing Item

  • Go to “Manage Content -->Content Library” in your CMS
  • In the Content Type, select Physical
  • You will see all the items added to your store
  • To enable Personalization for a specific item, click on “Edit Item” on the right-hand side of that item
  • Scroll down to “Personalization” and select “Enable
  • Click on “Update

Note: To disable Personalization for the item, select “Disable” and click on “Update

 

 

Editing Customizer

Once you enabled Personalization for an item, you can then define the customizing options for that item. The defined customizing options will be available to the user at the front end. Here you can define “Text Area”, “Text Size”, Text Style”, “Image Area”, “Image Size”, “Coordinates” “Font Style”, “Font Color” for the item.

  • Click on “Edit Customizer
  • Define the product dimension in Height and Width. (For example, for a T-Shirt you can mention the width 30 Cm and height 60 Cm)
  • Define the customization area Height and Width. This is the area where users can do all customization. (For a T-shirt you can define the height and width to 10 Cm)
  • Click on “Save
  • To define the text area, click on “Add Text Area” (This is the area where users can add text)
  • Type a predefined text
  • Define the maximum character
  • Add rotation number (Type different number to see how the rotation works. For example, 10, 20, 30)
  • Mention the font size
  • Define the coordinates
  • Add color. Click on the “+” icon and then click on “Add” to select color
  • After adding the colour, select the colours you want to give your users for customization
  • Select the Text Style form the drop down
  • Now click on “Add Fonts” to add different types of fonts listed. You can add multiple fonts. You can also remove any font from the selection by clicking on the trashcan icon on the font.
  • To define the image area, click on “Add Image Area” (This is the area where users can add image)
  • Type rotation number
  • Define image height and width
  • Define image coordinates

 

 

How Users Can Customize an Item

When users click on an item for which personalization has been enabled, they will see the “Personalize” button along with “Add to Cart” and “Order Now” button.

Note: Currently Product Personalization is enabled only for Classic Template.

  • Users can personalize an item by clicking on the “Personalize” button
  • They can add text, change text size, text colour, text style
  • By clicking on Delete, they can delete all the customization
  • To add image, the users need to click on the image area on the item
  • Users can choose image from their computer and then click on “Add”. The image will be added to the item.
  • By clicking on “Reset All”, users can discard all the changes they have made
  • Users can preview the item by clicking on “Preview
  • After finalizing all the customization, users need to click on “Add to Cart” button to order the item.
