H.264 is an industry standard for video compression, the process of converting digital video into a format that takes up less capacity when it is transmitted or stored. H.264 delivers both small file size and high definition quality with half, even quarter of bitrate usage. So far, it is one of the most frequently used formats for recording, compression as well as distribution of video content. Including 4K UHD, it also supports resolutions up to 4096×2304.
