VAST (Video Ad Serving Template)

VAST or Video Ad Serving Template is a general specification developed by the IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) for serving video ads. Basically, it is a script which is providing constant instructions to your video player on how to manage an ad. It tells your video player where to find the ad (i.e. the ad server), how long it should display, what the click-thru URL should be, what the ad should do — how it should show up in the player and whether it is skippable.

VAST is essential for the seamless integration of video ads into various platforms, including websites, apps, and live audio streaming service. It ensures that video ads are delivered and displayed correctly, providing a consistent and effective advertising experience for viewers.
