YouTube adds new functionality to it live streaming app which will enable viewers to watch live videos in a whole new way. Live streamers on YouTube can add a location tag to their mobile live streams and viewers can live stream videos shot in the same place by clicking on the tag.

A live chat replay function will make chat comments showing up alongside a video as in real time, even the video stream is over and being replayed. Also, English automatic captions have been introduced by YouTube for live streams.

YouTube in a blog posted, quoted, “With our live automatic speech recognition technology, you’ll get captions with error rates and latency approaching industry standards. We’ll roll this out in the coming weeks, and will continue to improve accuracy and latency of automatic captions.”
