Netflix subscription may cost more in Australia

A monthly price increase may be in the pipeline for Australian users of Netflix. According to The Australian, they are considering a price increase for all subscription prices by a few dollars which might not be a big deal for some people however could make a great difference for others like students and other low income earners.According to reports, the basic one-screen fee may go up from $8.99 to $9.99 whereas the two-screen plan may rise to $13.99(from $11.99) . Additionally the 4k service could increase to $17.99.

The new tax that’s being placed on overseas companies might be the cause of the price increase. Netflix however has clarified that the fees won’t go up for everyone, adding that it was a trial targeted towards certain users. Read More
