The 2018 and 2019 Samsung Smart TVs will be able to play the iTunes library from Apple. For the first time in the history of Apple, iTunes library will be available on a third-party device. Experts are considering this as a possible sign of Apple catering its upcoming television service on non-Apple devices.

According to the deal between Samsung and Apple, the Korean electronic biggie will be adding an application on its television sets to let the users play their iTunes library or purchase new ones. Users can also stream contents on Samsung TVs from their devices with the help of the AirPlay 2 streaming technology by Apple.

Reportedly, Apple’s weak hardware sales in China and its saturation point in the worldwide smartphone market has led them to rethink the old strategies. The current deal reflects Apple’s increasing focus on its services segments.
