According to a report by Smartclip, there are around 16M smart TVs in Brazil. This is 10% of the all TVs in the market. Around 45% of the viewing on smart TV accounts for video on demand content. The report indicates that 91% of smart TVs are connected and apps to watch content are used on 85% of them. Increase in sales of smart TVs are due to the fact that media organizations and TV channels started developing apps for these devices. Large screen TVs are the most preferred device to view video content, as reported earlier.
