YouTube Premium’s music component which is competing with Spotify and Apple Music in the music streaming arena has introduced student pricing scheme following the footsteps of its counterparts.
Students can now enjoy a 50 percent discount on YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Premium. By paying just $4.99 a month students can now experience the service completely ad-free. YouTube Premium is being hailed by many as better than the former due to its access to unofficial cover versions which cannot be found anywhere else. While one can enjoy the same content on an ad-supported YouTube for free, however, offline listening won’t be possible without a paid subscription.
