2014 to 2022: How was this long journey?
I joined Muvi in 2014. 7 years have passed so quickly and seems like recent past. During these years learned a lot. My transition from QA Engg to Lead QA Engg & then to Scrum Master has given me a new set of exciting responsibilities and challenges which inspire me to develop and learn new skills and abilities. I am proud to be a part of the Muvi family and appreciate the opportunity to realize my full potential cooperative and encouraging working culture.
Part of my career plan is to learn as much as I can, but take it step-by-step. This was possible because of guidance and continuous encouragements from our CEO, Anshuman. Even though I’m a shy and quiet person, I learned that I have to step out of my comfort zone. After switching to the role of Scrum Master, I had to communicate with different teams, generate and share status reports. My journey has really been fantastic and the opportunities I’ve been given I am incredibly grateful for – they are tapping in to all the skills that I have brought with me from previous jobs: team-working skills; interviewing and recruitment; communications; and report-writing. I’ve experienced a fast journey over the last three years and I feel really lucky to have had such an all-round involvement in the services. This helps me to have an understanding of my colleagues’ situation and it makes working here just that much easier. My journey through these years has seen many changes come through in the organization, and each time, these have been for the better, for the leadership is committed to making Muvi a success story!
You have literally seen MUVI grow with time. What are the major changes you have seen in these years?
It was a bit hard to take the decision of leaving a 10+ years company with around 50 employees and joining a start-up. I have been one of the 3 members who joined Muvi team on the very first day, I have seen this tree grow from the very root, from the 5 members it is now 250-member team in, this itself speaks a lot.
Office space was in a single room and all of us were seating around a single table. Slowly work space size has increased along with employee strength.
Work hard, stay determined and you’ll get recognized. This is fully applied to our great platform Muvi as it is world’s only All-in-One OTT Platform provider. I am proud to be a Muvian and working with such a great team.
What is the best thing you like about MUVI?
I love the progressive, left-leaning nature of the business, I love its openness, flat culture, I love the fact that it’s forward thinking and it moves quickly and just the whole ethos behind it. Collaborative environment and teamwork with colleagues, an inclusive culture with autonomy and flexibility, and well-being support. It’s something that I’m proud of and I talk to friends about.
What really inspired you to stay such long with us?
Being part of a team is essential as it signifies people working towards a shared purpose or goal. I am proud that we are part of something special and everyone of us have a special role in achieving the goals of the company. One of the main reasons of staying with companies for long periods of time is encouragement to constantly do better and continuously learn. Another reason is trust in the business.
Any message for the people aspiring to be a MUVIan?
I have recommended working here to many friends and definitely would in future, because this is the organisation that most resembles my personal values. The culture is transparent, every employee, irrespective of their position is given a chance to be heard, and there are ample opportunities available to those who want to build a career here. It is a young organization with a contemporary, innovative and entrepreneurial approach that distinguishes it from its competitors. I have been with the organization for over 7 years now and have seen myself transform as a professional in more than one ways.
