Chinese people love sharing Live Videos of themselves

An 18 year old university student, Wang Leyu, also known as “bboylele”, streams himself on a live streaming app talking about his life, humming or dancing and surprisingly Chinese audience are paying to watch him. Out of many, three live streaming apps are getting widely popular in China named: Douyu, YY and Yingke, having hundreds of millions of people registering on these apps.

Since the western counterparts like Facebook Live and Twitter’s Periscope are banned in China, local apps are gaining popularity. People in China use live video streaming platforms to stream them playing Live video games or teaching English.
