China’s leading telco – LeEco bring a host of its offerings to the US along with a new video streaming platform. However to much surprise, the platform does not talk about offering content from Netflix, HBO, Hulu or Amazon but announces a plenty of other content partners.
Showtime, Lionsgate, MGM, Sling, Vice, The Travel Channel, and Awesomeness TV are just to name a few partners for LeEco’s new streaming service. Machinima, Mitú, and Magnolia Pictures will also be a part of the platform. LeEco has experience of streaming services in China however, we are yet to see what strategies the telco adopts to fight competitors like Roku and Apple.
