2016 has been a great year for TV set sales in France. According to the latest figures from GfK, TV set sales jumped by 1.4 million from 2015 to 2016, having sold 6.5 million units in the year, boosted by the Euro 2016 football tournament.
The figures are expected to decrease a bit in 2017 to some 5.3 million units with two thirds of the sales being 4K and Smart TV sets. The TV set market, however, achieved revenues of €2.4 billion, 16 percent up over one year.
