Poland’s VOD market has room for new players

According to a recent research, some 338,000 Polish internet users signed up for Netflix when it entered Poland in January, 2016. However, after the promotional offer for one month free access expired, only 73,600 continued using the service.

Netflix managed to recover ground when it started offering more movies and Polish dubbed content, and experienced an increase to some 385,000 users after 12 months. The research concluded that the Polish VOD market still has a room for new players who can offer local and interesting catalogue of content.
