Sirius XM Holdings Inc, in an effort to get a better foothold in the internet music streaming business, will invest $480 million in Pandora Media Inc.
Currently, Sirius XM has a solid presence in the auto industry where its channels are offered in most new cars in the US. However, it has been lagging behind Pandora and other music providers in the mobile and streaming content space.
It is speculated that Pandora audio streaming services could be offered as a bundle with Sirius XM in a similar fashion as Amazon bundles HBO and Showtime subscriptions. Read More
