According to the latest report from CNMC – Spain, Pay-TV revenues have grown to match advertising revenues in the country. Having recorded a growth rate of 14.8 %, pay-TV revenues have reached €520 million in Q1 2017. At the same time, Ad revenues have grown by only 6.4% to reach €465 million.
Ad networks in the country have channelized their expenditure in new mediums such as Netflix and HBO. According to CNMC, pay-TV subscribers have grown by 5.5% in Q1 and have reached 6.1 million.
