According to eMarketer, 186.9 million people in the US will be consuming video content via apps or sites like Hulu, YouTube, etc. Video on demand (VoD) services has been growing rapidly over the last 5 years. It is estimated that by 2019, over 70% of internet users in US will use OTT services. It also indicates that despite high penetration, such a demand will ensure there will be enough space for other players in the market. The viewership percentage of cable subscribers using VoD increased from 34% to 51% in 5 years time.
