360-degree supporting cameras like select GoPro cams will be required to create content for this platform. Maximum supported resolution is 1440p 60fps – hence better than HD. Complementing the 360-degree immersive experience is the spatial audio that will give a more realistic feeling to the ears. In the words of YouTube’s Chief Product Officer Neal Mohan – “where depth, distance and intensity all play a role,”. 360-degree videos will be available as on-demand first, and on Android.
