YouTube has made significant improvements to its online video platform interface. The enhanced apps and services are meant to bring the viewers closer to content and creators. Navigation tabs are now at the bottom of the app so they are closer to viewer’s thumbs.
Some other new features included are the Library and Account tabs so viewers can easily find what they are looking for.

Viewers can now double tap on the left or right side of the video for fast forwarding or rewinding 10 seconds.
Some interesting features in the pipeline include ability to jump between videos with the swipe of the hand to watch a previous video or the next one and ability to change shape such as vertical, square or horizontal to match the video format being watched.

The mobile app includes a feature lets users increase or decrease the speed of  the playback of a video.
