Simply South approached Muvi to help them launch their own OTT Platform consisting of OTT website and a large selection of OTT applications that include iOS, Android app, Android TV, LG TV, Samsung TV, Roku TV, Apple TV, and Fire TV. They also required different forms of monetization deployment and at the same time also requested deep customizations to their applications that were successfully implemented.

While Simply South’s heart remains in India, it’s taking a bold step to share the enchantment of South Indian cinema with the world. Thus, Simply South is available worldwide, excluding India, extending its reach and impact beyond borders.

Unique Features/ Customizations/ Integrations done:

Customized Applications & Website – Simply South requested for its own customized designs for all endpoints (Website, Mobile App & TV Apps) and gave designs that were implemented by the Muvi One’s development team.

Custom CDN: Muvi One comes with Amazon’s CloudFront CDN but Simply South preferred to do its own encoding and hence uses a custom CDN for their storage and bandwidth distribution.

Geo-Block – Due to contractual obligations, Simply South does not stream its content in India. Hence a geo-block was applied to make the content unavailable in the region.

Mobile & TV Apps: Simply South is available on a wide range of devices, including Android, iOS, Apple TV, Roku TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Samsung TV, LG TV, and more, making non-stop entertainment accessible wherever users are each of which is carefully designed to meet Simply South’s requirements.

Monetization Methods & Options:

Subscription Video On Demand: Simply South is a subscription-based service where users pay a monthly subscription charge to access the content on the website and applications.

PPV: In case the users don’t want to go for a long-term commitment, they can simply opt for Pay-Per-View where they pay a one-time fee for the content they wish to enjoy.

Coupons: Apart from SVOD and PPV, Simply South Also requested for Coupon generation facility. A method by which Simply South generates custom discount coupons for its users as and when they wish to do so.
