Some 80% of millennials subscribe to at least one over-the-top (OTT) service and 39% report watching at least seven hours of video of demand platforms per week, according to new research.
According to Limelight Networks’ State of Online Video report, as of June this year 22.8% of millennials said they watch more than 10 hours of online video per week – significantly more than people in other demographics.
Among non-millenials the largest proportion of people (36.9%) said they watch just 1-2 hours of online video per week. For millenials, the 1-2-hour category represented the smallest group at 15.9%.
On average EIU films released between 2005 and 2014 were released in cinemas in 2.6 countries on average, while US films were available in 9.7 countries on average.
