Cisco VNI: Mobile video growing fastest with video viewing amounting to 82% of internet traffic

According to the latest Cisco Visual Networking Index (VNI) shows a growth of 1.3 billion Internet users by 2021 amounting to 4.6 billion or almost 60% of the population. Also, it suggests that 82% of internet users watch videos.

It is expected that there will be 27.1 billion devices and connections half of which will be M2M (machine-to-machine) and a 100% increase in broadband speeds. Middle East and Africa show the highest growth rate of 42%. North America is currently at 80% internet usage.
