Comcast planning a nationwide Video streaming Service

US broadcasting and cable giant Comcast is planning to launch a new video streaming platform nationwide for those who do not wish to pay for a traditional cable package, according to a Reuters report. The new OTT service is tentatively expected to be branded as Xfinity Instant TV to be priced between $15 to $40.

The new service will have major US broadcasters and sports channels like ESPN along with Spanish language channels such as Telemundo and Univision. The Xfinity Instant TV is expected to arrive in the autumn of this year to more than 50 million homes that come within Comcast’s footprint, including cities such as Washington, D.C. and Chicago.
