Disney is prepping to launch its own branded Disney Kids TV streaming box that will focus on family friendly entertainment. The new streaming box, which was demoed during CES last week, is due to be launched in 2017 costing some $99 and runs on a modified Android OS.
The new streaming box will come with pre-loaded movies, TV shows and games from Disney and will allow users to connect to other SVOD services, TV Everywhere apps and streaming music services. In addition to the box, Disney will also sell a branded game controller for the Kids TV. The box will also support 4K and 60 fps video.
