According to a recent research by NPD, by the end of 2019 more than 238 million streaming devices will be connected to the internet and will be delivered to home TVs. The research states there to be a healthy 59% growth from 2015 to 2019.
Connected TVs to show 45% of the growth over the coming four years and the less expensive, content heavy video streaming devices will show 35% growth. The rate of connecting these devices will increase from 70% in 2015 to 80% installed units by the end of 2019.
