According to a new consumer survey by PayWizard, some 84% of consumers are most likely to ditch their digital pay TV provider if the service or support becomes poor. The survey said that the popularity of OTT services such as Netflix has led to “much higher rates of subscriber churn.”

According to the survey some 24% of customers have canceled their digital pay TV subscriptions because of the poor customer service experiences. Some 64% of those who have not taken up a new subscription in the last year said they would cut back on other digital services or downgrade a general package to cut the cost in case they were to sign up for a new OTT service.
