A recent report of Ofcom suggests that viewership of TV catch-up & online video streaming has been witnessing an upward pattern over the last year. It shows that video consumption is highest (96%) in the 16-24 age bracket, while it is only 35% in the over 65 group.

It also indicates that Pay TV catch-up services are accessed by more people in numbers, while video content on social media is accessed more frequently. The move to video on demand services is clearly being fueled by the younger generation, and while paid video content subscribers are low, they are already showing a growing trend.
