According to Digitalsmiths Q4 2015 Video Trends Report, there has been a decrease in demand for à la carte channels. The reason for this could be OTT services. Also there has been a decrease in the percentage of people wanting to make their own channel packages. 61.3% are aware of OTT services like Hulu, HBO Now, etc. Less than 20% have subscribed to such services. Pay-TV operators are increasingly providing TV Everywhere apps to counter the OTT competition. There has also been an increase in people being aware of Pay-TV apps.
