OTT video services most preferred, but cable most used 14 April 2016

OTT video services are highest on demand among all TV-viewing options in the US. From the 1236 US TV viewers surveyed, around 50% have expressed interest in cord cutting. Netflix and Hulu have received a high favorability rating of 52%. And 44% for over the air broadcasting, with a little over 30% for satellite and cable TV companies. Even with low favorability, cable remains the highest used TV service at 51%, satellite at 29%, OTT at 10% and over the air at just 7%. Major reason for the unfavorability is that cable and satellite services are expensive. As internet and phone services are bundled with cable, it has stopped users from cutting the cord.
