Back in 2011, The Wall Street Journal was the first traditional publication to arrive on the Roku Streaming Player with its WSJ Live channel (which also landed that year on Apple TV and has since expanded to numerous other products). There are now 21 streaming Roku channels from magazine, or digital-publishing brands.

The latest is Time Inc., home of such illustrious titles as Time, Fortune, Sports Illustrated and Entertainment Weekly, which launched its video streaming service, The Daily Cut, with a Roku partnership in January.
