Spotify voice commands now work on any Google Assistant-supported device

Soumya Sekhar Published on : 11 October 2017

Google Inc. has announced that Google Assistant will now support Spotify voice commands in the coming few weeks. So, you can use your voice to control Spotify on any device that supports Google Assistant. The voice command feature is made available to both standard and premium Spotify users.

Earlier, Spotify voice commands were only available on Google Home, but now the same functions translate to Google Assistant on mobile phones. Users can issue voice commands like, “Google, play my workout playlist on Spotify”. If they link Spotify and make it the default player on Google Assistant, they would not have to say “on Spotify” at the end of each command.
