Citing difficulty in paying it’s Pay-TV distributors, Time Warner is now on the lookout to entice white label #vod providers like Microsoft, Roku, Amazon and Apple for the launch of it’s much awaited standalone video streaming service. With more than 9 million HBO GO channel subscribers in the US, the decision to market the new service will ultimately depend on how the new revenue is divided. Non-cable-TV operators would pay HBO as much as 70% of the revenue from its online-only service, the industry standard for content sold online.
