Citing difficulty in paying it’s Pay-TV distributors, Time Warner is now on the lookout to entice white label providers like Microsoft, Roku, Amazon and Apple for the launch of it’s much awaited standalone video streaming service. With more than 9 million HBO GO channel subscribers in the US, the decision to market the new service will ultimately depend on how the new revenue is divided. Non-cable-TV operators would pay HBO as much as 70% of the revenue from its online-only service, the industry standard for content sold online.
