YouTube is continuing to propel the online video world forwards with the launch of its new social video streaming app – Uptime. The new video streaming platform will make video viewing more social. When a user is watching a video and a friend signs in to watch the same video, their icon will float across the screen.
The app will allow commenting, reacting and starting real time conversation around the video content. The app allows two people at different location to login and watch a video at the same time and chat without interrupting the video.
