Google owned video streaming platform, YouTube is all set to bring its YouTube Originals to India. The India Originals will be YouTube’s ad-supported video platform. But on later stage, an ad-free subscription service, YouTube Premium might get launched.

The recent rise of online streaming platforms such as Amazon, Hotstar and Netflix, among Indian audiences have prompted many over-the-top companies to invest heavily on streaming platforms.

Satya Raghavan, Entertainment Head, YouTube India quoted, “The company is looking at multiple formats for original content in the country at a time when it is attracting 245 million unique users each month.
