YouTube has finally started streaming High Dynamic Range (HDR) video. Google has announced that it will now enable viewers with HDR TV and monitors to enjoy YouTube content with increased clarity, color range and better contrast.
Although 4K has been available on YouTube for quite some time now, it has waited on incorporating HDR. Google worked with many YouTubers including MysteryGuitarMan, Abandon Visuals, Jacob and Katie Schwarz to have the premium HDR content ready for launch, but now anyone can upload their visually enhanced videos on YouTube.
