Samsung TVs support HDR10 format as well as the superior version of it, HDR10+. The company has announced that Amazon Prime Video will stream in HDR10+ on QLED and standard 4K TVs starting 13th December.

The streaming service shall now be able to offer its catalog of 100+ TV shows, movies, and originals in HDR10+. HDR10+ supports 10-bit color palette which is quite comparable to Dolby Vision’s 12-bit palette. However, Samsung favors HDR+ over Dolby because it is open and royalty-free.
