Apple Music has slashed it’s subscription down to $8.25 a month, nearly a $1.75 cheaper than the standard $9.99 monthly subscription which was the earlier pricing for Apple Music as well as it’s two main competitors namely Spotify and Pandora.

This move has come in the wake of its competitors struggling to hold ground and in an effort to entice paying customers to its service. Apple can afford to do this since it has the money and flexibility to absorb losses while cutting out competition which heavily relies on premium subscriptions (competitors like Spotify and Pandora).

Apple has more than 27 million subscribers since it started in 2015. The new yearly subscription of $99 may entice younger millennials to try Apple Music. Read More
