In a recent survey report, more than half of Australia’s adult population (10.2 million), are paying up for various subscription-based streaming services. According to the research, Netflix leads the subscription game with more than 5.3 million subscribers in the Australian OTT space.
After Netflix, Stan follows the market with almost 1.4 million users, which is then followed by YouTube Premium with 8% share.
“An average SVoD viewer has access to 1.9 SVoD services and approximately pays an amount of A$35.30 for streaming a minimum of 48 hours of content per month.”
