Comcast is eyeing a standalone option for its IPTV platform – Stream TV. Stream TV is offered at 15 USD a month as a skinny TV bundle made for mobile devices particularly. Now reports say that Comcast is going to allow subscriptions for Stream TV to customers not having broadband internet service from Comcast. As it is, they already have access to some TV Everywhere content that works only when the connected device is linked to Comcast’s wired or WiFi internet service. This indicates their intention to reach a wider potential customer list and that exclusivity is no longer very much profitable.
