The social media giant Facebook is aiming to expand its live video streaming service to the world of gaming taking the footsteps of Twitch and YouTube. Facebook has now opened up the stream for account holders to live stream from a webcam or a personal computer rather than only a mobile device.

Facebook also states that users will also be able to use third-party streaming software and hardware to stream games playing in real time. This new feature will provide users a different level of engagement and increasing their time spent on the platform, stated Facebook.
