Sony Launches OTT Platform Crackle in Brazil

Sony launches an independent video on demand service Crackle in Brazil in partnership with Brazil’s telco Oi. The new launch follows HBO Go, which was launched just two ago in Brazil. Crackle provides users with access to the library of Canal Sony and AXN programming.

With this launch, Sony further plans to expand Crackle in Latin America as a new subscription-based model, abandoning the former free subscription system. Brazil is going to be the second country to get Crackle SVOD platform, following the launch in Mexico this November in partnership with Totalplay.
