The Hong Kong operator PCCW reports that its OTT platform Viu tops 4 million users in Asian regions within the first year of its launch. The mobile video streaming platform recorded 218 million video views in the third quarter of 2016, during the preceding three moths.
Viu users consumed the service for 1.2 hours per day on an average, which means 12 videos are viewed by each user every week. The service is currently available in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and the Philippines.
