Australian pay-TV operator Foxtel has announced that its OTT platform Foxtel Now will be available on Apple TV through AirPlay. Additionally, Foxtel Now’s live and on-demand titles can also be streamed in HD on iPads and iPhones.
Apple TV users will be able to download the Foxtel Now app onto their iPhone or iPad and AirPlay the content on the TV screen. Foxtel has rebranded its IPTV streaming services into one product, Foxtel Now, having let go of Foxtel Play and Presto. Apple TV support is yet another step towards sustaining the company’s new identity, having transformed from a traditional TV channel to an OTT service.
