Generation Z, millennials in the US increasingly use Subscription Video-On-Demand

As per the 2017 Nielsen Total Audience Report, millennials who were at the beginning stages of their careers were found to have the lowest household incomes and were more likely to live in urban areas on rent hence were more likely to have access to multimedia devices like Apple TV and Chromecast and Subscription Video-on-demand (SVOD) services in comparison to other generations.
Generation Z members usually live in homes of three or more people hence this group has the highest penetration in terms of expensive devices like enabled smart TVs (37%), video game consoles (73%) and tablets (78%) since these gadgets are provided for by parents or other household members.

Generation Xers and Baby Boomers also were found to stream more with penetration increasing by 29% year-over-year for the latter whereas for Generation X, it increased by 23%. SVOD services also grew in popularity with baby boomers accounting for 51% and Generation Xers accounting for 69% of them. Read More
