Regulatory bodies in Indonesia have mandated that Over the Top (OTT) content providers have to form a permanent business entity in the country. This has to be done by April, 2016. This would mean that OTT content providers like Facebook, Twitter, Netflix and others. According to the head of information and public relation of the Ministry, Ismail Cawidu said that the companies will have to have a permanent representative office or partner with similar companies in Indonesia in order to operate in the country. Also it is required that consumers’ confidential information is protected.
