Internet / Digital ad spending in U.S will soon eclipse TV ad spending. An analysis by Kleiner Perkins suggests that the tipping point for new media will be coming in the next six months. Total global ad spend for TV as well as the internet was around $180 billion last year, out of which Digital ad spending was amounting to about $73 billion of the total global ad spend. Furthermore, about $43 billion of the digital ad spend came from mobile.

Google saw 20% growth over 2015 revenue and Facebook grew by 62%. The two made for 85% of all growth. According to the report by Mark Meeker, mobile advertising showed a 22% growth rate last year. Desktop advertising stayed somewhat consistent though for the past six years and fluctuated between $30 million and $38 million. Read More
