Telecom giant Reliance Jio has revealed that the company’s (Over-the-Top) OTT platform Jio TV has passed the 100 million download mark on Google’s Play Store. Jio TV app is currently the twelfth most popular app on the Google Play store in the OTT category.
In India, Jio TV offers more than 500 channels, including 60 HD channels across 15 languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Assamese, Bhojpuri, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu. Reliance Jio has bagged a multi-year digital content deal with Roy Kapur Films (RKF) and has revealed plans to offer original content on the platform, under the featured category – Jio Originals.
