The issue that was discussed most at the Indonesia ICT Summit in Jakarta was that the future of free-to-air television dominance in country’s video streaming business is in the hands of young adults. The country recently welcomed video streaming services like Netflix, iflix and Hooq and has been doing well specially among young adults.

Al Greeny S. Dewayanti, commercial director at Mega Media Indonesia said, millennials in big cities are switching towards over-the-top content services than traditional TV.  Millennials in Indonesia make up about 41% of the 258.8 million population. The need for local content providers to keep an eye on the preferences of growing Indonesian middle-class millennials was also discussed at the Summit.
