Half of Internet users in Brazil use VOD services

It comes as a surprise that Brazil is up to match up to US when it comes to the number of people that use VOD services. According to a recent research from Conecta and Worldwide Independent Network of Market Research, it was discovered that 49% of internet users use one or more VOD service. The reach is noticeably more than that of Canada or Mexico.

However, it is not only Brazil but 43% of internet users in Ecuador also said that they use VOD services. eMarketer estimated in a study in April 2016 that 60% of Brazil’s population will be using internet by 2016. There is no doubt that other countries such as Mexico and Peru are also experiencing fast internet penetration and seeing Brazil’s slow growth, these counties might take a boom.
