According to a new research from Viacom, linear TV is still the most popular medium for kids to consume video content. The research states that kids around the world use an average of five sources to watch TV, and 90% of those surveyed state that they watch TV regularly.
Consuming video on demand content from YouTube and likes was the second most popular medium for kids worldwide, except Italy and France, where DVDs were ranked as second most popular medium to consume on-demand content. Programs offered by official websites of the channels were ranked fourth ahead of VOD platforms such as Netflix and alike.
